National Convention on Union Budget in VIJAYAWADA on January 25-26 , 2015
VIJAYAWADA:The Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability, (CBGA) and AP Chapter of NCPSU has organised a two-day national convention on Union Budget 2015-16 at Press Club , Gandhi Nagar, Vijayawada,Andhra Pradesh,South India on 25-26 January 2015. The convention will bring together around 50 Civil Society Organisations, (CSOs) from more than 10 states. The deliberations in the two-day convention will focus on some of the priorities for social sectors and vulnerable sections of the population for the forthcoming Union Budget, based on a set of policy as compiled by member organisations in the network with inputs from CSOs. The CSOs which are part of the People's Budget Initiative network, taking into account both substantive work towards assessing budgets (at the national and sub-national level) from the perspective of the vulnerable sections and the inputs from a large number of CSOs that have been working on development issues at the grassroots level. A number of issues pertaining to policies and budgets, relevant in the current financial year.
