Yet another puppet of the West, in this instance at the beck and call of  the British Monarchichal Establishment!! How long will it be we wonder before the Arab world finally dispenses with the  anti-Islamic 'services' that in reality, the West imposes for its own (the USA,Britain and Israel's) benefit? Britons blamed for Bahrain crackdown

Many Bahrainis blame British national Ian Henderson for the recent violent crackdown on thousands of pro-democracy protesters in Pearl Square.

Henderson, who served as the head of Bahrain's state security for thirty years until 1998, is now an advisor to King Hamad bin Isa al- Khalifa.

The government has violently suppressed demonstrators that demand an end to monarchy. The crackdown has left six people dead and hundreds of others wounded.

Tension is running high in the streets of Bahrain's capital, Manama. Despite the crackdown and heavy police presence, pro-democracy protesters have taken to Pearl Square, demanding the regime's ouster.

The developments come shortly after the army withdrew from the area. The army left the Square after Crown Prince Sheikh Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa ordered military vehicles to withdraw.

Shortly afterwards protesters stormed the square and erected tents. Police fired teargas to disperse them.

Meanwhile, the Bahraini king called for national dialogue, but the offer was rejected by the main opposition bloc, Al-Wefaq, which says the government must resign and troops must withdraw from the streets first.
