Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Leader of Iran's Islamic Revolution
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has warned against enemy plots to bring another "Pharaoh" to power in Egypt.

"Today, Egyptians who are wise people with a brilliant Islamic background are on the scene, and care should be taken lest the enemy divert the popular movement [in Egypt] and bring to power an individual affiliated with the Pharaonic Egyptian regime," said the Leader in a meeting with a host of Islamic intellectuals and guests attending the 24th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran.

Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that the world of Islam is presently at a "very sensitive" juncture.

"Understanding this sensitive juncture, strengthening the people's faith in God, maintaining unity, refusing to be intimidated by the imposing façade of the US and believing in the divine promise of victory will pave the way for the millions-strong popular movement in the Islamic world to emerge successful and triumphant," the Leader said.
