Today the Advocate called to verify my letter.  This means they will publish it.

Please feel free to "borrow" whatever is suitable for your own LTE.  I "borrowed" a little from Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, http://globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=26174

Editor, the Advocate,

Ten years ago, my father, an architect since World War II, looked at the videos of the Twin Towers falling on 9/11 and said,  "No building falls down like that except by controlled demolition."

Since that time, numerous architects and engineers like my father have said the same thing.  Firefighters and the families of the 9/11 victims have called for the truth about what happened on 9/11, and even members of the 9/11 Commission have, too.

You would think that Washington would be concerned when the tallest building in the biggest city in the country was destroyed, and when the very headquarters of its own defense establishment--an establishment that costs us taxpayers TRILLIONS to maintain--was attacked.  They would have investigated why that military failed to stop people who purportedly could barely even fly private craft, yet alone commercial jets, and there would have been courts-martial for the people responsible for the nation's defense. A handful of Arabs managed four times in one morning to outwit not merely the CIA and FBI but all 16 US intelligence agencies, all intelligence agencies of our allies including Mossad, the National Security Council, the State Department, NORAD, air traffic control and airport security, and you would think the President, Congress, and the media would have demanded to know how such an improbable event could have occurred.

Sixty years ago, President Eisenhower forced Britain, France and Israel to stop their attack on a Muslim country.  At that time, America's stock in the Middle East could not have been higher.  I have traveled there, and can assure you that AT ONE TIME Americans were loved.  What happened?  Why have we squandered that good will by attacking a country that had nothing to do with 9/11?  We have killed hundreds of thousands of Arabs and Muslims who were innocent of what happened on that fateful day, and destroyed their country, once the most prosperous in the Middle East.

The government's account of what happened on 9/11 is the reason given for an attack on Iraq.  It is the foundation for wars in the Middle East which are exhausting our resources, and ruining our reputation.  The allegation that Arabs or Muslims are responsible for 9/11 is the basis for the loss of our civil liberties, and the creation of a domestic police state which will shut down all opposition to wars, and detain and torture anyone the government--in secrecy and without any opposition from defense lawyers or anyone else--wishes to target, regardless of how much of a threat they really pose to us.

This is not the government for which my ancestors, including the one who signed the Declaration of Independence, fought.
