Sikh protest against human rights violations in front of European Parliament on December 10, 2010 between 11 AM to 1 PM

European Union Sikhs are gathering on Friday, December 10, 2010 between 11 AM - 1 PM to protest alongside with Kashmiri brothers on International Day of Human Rights on Place Schumann, 1040 Brussels, Belgium to raise concern for human rights violations and to seek justice for 1984 Sikh Genocide in Punjab (Khalistan).  Ali Raza Syed, Chairman of Kashmir Council, will lead the protest in front of European Parliament, where Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be attending a summit.

We welcome Indian Dr. Manmohan Singh to our wonderful Belgium a country which fully exercises democracy, where every individual enjoys their freedom, but it in Punjab (Khalistan) which is under occupation of the Indian government since August 15, 1947, there is no such thing as human rights.

We seek answers to the following questions from Dr. Manmohan Singh during his visit to Brussels:

1) Why is the Indian Government holding back Justice on Sikh Genocide, where over 3000 Sikhs were burnt alive, women raped and properties ruined.  Yet the Indian Government has appointed commission after commission but no justice.

2) We seek answers for the murder of over 260,000 Sikhs since 1984 and the imprisonment of 52, 268 Sikhs being held as political prisoners in India without charge and trial as per the report by the Movement Against State Repression (MASR).

3) Those in Indian congress, committed genocide on Sikhs, but are now enjoying high ranking positions in Singh's government, whereas victims and widows of those killed by Government lead mobs are still suffering and begging for justice for the past 26 years.

4) We demand the Indian Government must seize illegal Indian occupation on our motherland Khalistan.

Keeping in view of the above, every Sikh is requested to join the protest at the address noted above.
